You can see how much I love this contest entry, this is my sixth entry, some of you also know that zombies are my favourite supernatural creatures, however I've always had my reservations about zombies that can run, yet I couldn't help but succumb to the urge to watch this nexflit story from earlier this year, I admit, I didn't want to see it precisely because I always considered running zombies to be an insult to everything these creatures have always stood for, but I did, I saw it and I don't regret it, so I'll share my opinion with you below.
Ya ven lo mucho que me gusta esto de participar en el concurso, esta es mi sexta entrada, algunos también saben que los zombies son mis criaturas sobrenaturales favoritas, sin embargo siempre he tenido mis reservas en cuanto a los zombies que pueden correr, aun así no pude evitar sucumbir al impulso de ver esta historia de nexflit de principios de este año, lo admito, no quería verla precisamente porque siempre considere que los zombies que corren eran un insulto a todo lo que siempre habían representado estas criaturas, pero lo hice, la vi y no me arrepiento, así que a continuación compartiré con ustedes mi opinión.

I must tell you that the first thing that caught my attention when I started watching this series was obviously the photography, it is wonderful, it is designed to capture your attention immediately, the scenes are colourful and full of life in contrast to the situations of tension and sadness that we constantly see, the green uniforms with white shirts, you can tell that they are made to highlight the large amount of blood that we see throughout the series.
Debo decirles que lo primero que llamó mi atención cuando empecé a ver esta serie fue evidentemente la fotografía, es maravillosa, está diseñada para capturar tu atención de inmediato, los escenarios son coloridos y llenos de vida en contraste con las situaciones de tensión y tristeza que vemos constantemente, los uniformes verdes con camisas blancas, se nota que están hechos para que resalte la gran cantidad de sangre que vemos a lo largo de toda la serie.
Another thing that caught my attention in a good way was the script, I loved the fact that in this universe the guys had the same concept of "zombie" that we have in the real world, in other zombie movies and series when the main characters and other characters meet them they don't even seem to have heard of these creatures, they have never seen films or read books about them, on the other hand in "All of Us Are Dead" the guys know perfectly well what they are facing although they don't know how to fight them, in fact I like that they are discovering it step by step, I also liked the fact that they have even mentioned such a famous film as "Train to Busan".
Otra de las cosas que llamó mi atención en el buen sentido fue el guion, amé el hecho de que en este universo los chicos tuvieran el mismo concepto de "zombie" que tenemos en el mundo real, en otras películas y series de zombies cuando los protagonistas y demás personajes se encuentran con ellos ni siquiera parecieran haber escuchado hablar de estas criaturas, jamás han visto películas o leído libros al respecto, en cambio en "All od Us Are Dead" los chicos saben perfectamente a qué se están enfrentando aunque desconocen la forma de combatirlos, de hecho me gusta que la vayan descubriendo poco a poco, también me gustó el hecho de que incluso hayan mencionado a una película tan famosa como lo fue "Tren a Busan"
One of the strongest aspects of this series is in its story, I really loved it because it covers many problems we face today, such as bullying, the negligence of some school leaders regarding this issue, the prejudices that still exist in society, and finally the arbitrary decisions of some governments to try to solve certain high-risk situations in their countries.
Uno de los aspectos más fuertes de esta serie está en su historia, de verdad me encantó porque abarca muchos problemas a los que nos enfrentamos hoy en día, como lo son el bullying, la negligencia de algunos dirigentes de colegios respecto a este tema, los prejuicios que todavía existen en la sociedad, y por último las decisiones arbitrarias de algunos gobernantes para intentar solventar determinadas situaciones de alto riesgo en sus países.
The development of the characters is quite noticeable and convincingly done, we notice how each one of them brings out the best or the worst of themselves, some even give their lives for the ones they love, they sacrifice themselves in favour of the group, while others are selfish and want to kill them. I like that in the series you can clearly see what bullying causes in human beings, sometimes it is a vicious circle (the victim becomes the aggressor) and step by step they are submerged in darkness until they lose empathy, they become dark, empty and vengeful, in fact bullying is a fundamental part of the story and the main reason why the virus was created.
El desarrollo de los personajes es bastante notorio y está hecho de forma convincente, notamos como cada uno de ellos saca lo mejor o lo peor de si mismos, algunos llegan a dar su vida por los seres que aman, se sacrifican a favor del grupo, mientras que otros son egoístas y sientes ganas de asesinarlos. Me gusta que en la serie puedes ver claramente lo que provoca el bullying en los seres humanos, a veces es un circulo vicioso (la víctima se vuelve agresor) y poco a poco se va sumergiendo en la oscuridad hasta perder la empatía, se vuelven sombríos, vacíos y vengativos, de hecho el bullying es parte fundamental de la historia y la razón principal por la que el virus fue creado.
I can't leave aside the design and the transformation process of the zombies, it's really so good that I simply stopped thinking about the fact that they run, and in fact even this has its explanation, the virus was designed to turn you into a wild beast, to bring out your animal instinct, to fill you with energy and make you "unstoppable". The transformation is impressive, it is quite disturbing to see how the bodies contort while you hear that scatological sound of breaking and the expressions of the characters lose humanity, at this point I must highlight the performances and characterisation, they are really so good that you can see how the characters become empty, totally inhuman, it is terrifying and sad at the same time.
No puedo dejar de lado el diseño y el proceso de transformación de los zombies, de verdad es tan pero tan bueno que simplemente dejé de pensar en el hecho de que corren, y en efecto hasta esto tiene su explicación, el virus fue diseñado para volverte una bestia salvaje, para que saques tu instinto animal, para llenarte de energía y volverte "imparable". La transformación es impresionante, es bastante perturbador ver como se contorsionan los cuerpos mientras escuchas ese sonido escatológico de quiebre y las expresiones de los personajes pierden humanidad, en este punto debo resaltar las actuaciones y la caracterización, de verdad son tan buenas que puedes ver como los personajes se vuelven vacíos, totalmente inhumanos, resulta aterrador y triste al mismo tiempo.
I also liked the new concept that this series presents us with, I think it's great that there are people who are half zombies, people who were attacked and can transform, but at the same time they have the option to choose whether or not to attack, I found this innovative. Choi Nam-ra's scenes where she struggles with herself and her new wild instinct are quite touching, the actress transmits the feelings of her character in a very effective way, she makes you feel tormented just by watching her because you can't help but put yourself in her place.
También me gustó el nuevo concepto que nos presenta esta serie, creo que es genial que existan personas mitad zombies, personas que fueron atacadas y pueden transformarse, pero al mismo tiempo tienen la opción de elegir o no atacar, esto me pareció innovador. Las escenas de Choi Nam-ra donde ella lucha consigo misma y su nuevo instinto salvaje son bastante conmovedoras, la actriz te transmite los sentimientos de su personaje de una manera muy efectiva, te hace sentir atormentado con el simple hecho de mirarla porque no puedes evitar ponerte en su lugar.
Yoon Gwi-nam on the other hand, being a disturbed boy, the school bully, uses his new skills to do harm, his scenes put me on edge the whole time, he really looked very intimidating and I came to hate him with all my soul (the actor did his job very well 😄).
Yoon Gwi-nam por el contrario, al ser un chico perturbado, el matón del colegio, utiliza sus nuevas habilidades para hacer daño, sus escenas me pusieron en tensión todo el tiempo, de verdad se veía muy intimidante y llegué a odiarlo con toda mi alma (el actor hizo muy bien su trabajo 😄).
And well friends this is all I have to say about the series, I highly recommend it, I can't wait for the second season to come out, it's full of dynamism but at the same time of feelings, you can't help but fall in love with some characters and then feel heartbroken when one of them dies in a heroic way, it also has very funny moments that will serve as a relief of tension, it's really wonderful.
Y bien amigos esto es todo lo que tengo que decir con respecto a la serie, la recomiendo mucho, no puedo esperar a que salga la segunda temporada, está llena de dinamismo pero al mismo tiempo de sentimientos, no pueden evitar enamorarse de algunos personajes y luego sentir el corazón roto cuando alguno de ellos muere de forma heroica, también tiene momentos muy graciosos que les servirán como alivio de tensión, de verdad es maravillosa.
